Obituary for James 'Jim' 'Mike' Williams

The memorial service for James ‘Jim’ ‘Mike’ Williams, 73, of Aberdeen, SD, will be 10:00am, Friday, October 4, 2019, at Aberdeen Health & Rehab, with Pastor Mark Marion officiating. Jim died Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at Aberdeen Health & Rehab.

James was born on August 9, 1946, to Joe and Stella (Cherry) Williams in Sanford, FL. After graduating from Pollachas High School, Jim joined the United States Navy. After his time in the service, he lived in several towns. He attended Vo-Tech in Orlando, FL and learned to repair computers.

On November 22, 1983, Jim was united in marriage to Kenna Louise Stephens in Orlando.

Jim held various jobs including welding and mechanic work. He later drove for Meals on Wheels and a bus for those who were handicapped. In 2007, Jim and Kenna moved to Aberdeen. Jim enjoyed watching sports and reading.

Grateful for having shared Jim’s life are his wife, Kenna Williams, Aberdeen; three siblings: Marsha McMilliam, Theresa Williams and Mark Williams; two sisters-in-law: Joyce (Joel) Campbell and Barbara Holford; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Jim in death are his parents: Joe and Stella Williams; and his brother Bruce Williams.
